Graduated from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA. Was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All America in 2006. Played for Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Summer Collegiate League in 2007. Was named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2006 after he posted an ERA of 3.54in 84.0 innings of work. Matt has been giving pitching lessons with athletes of all ages since 2002.
Wickswat signed as a nondrafted free agent with the Chicago White Sox in 2008 and spent 5 years in the White Sox organization. He posted a career ERA of 4.84 in 375.2 innings of work.
